Water quality tested Excellent again this month — everything you need before your first dip.
The samples came back on Friday, and for the third time this season the lake has been rated Excellent.
Samples are taken from the north steps at the same state of tide each time, bottled, and driven to the laboratory the same morning. Two indicator bacteria are counted, and both sit comfortably inside the top band used for designated bathing waters.
